Thu, Nov 7th, 2013 / 7:00PMGreg Nemes will introduce his new venture, Work-Shop — a research, design and digital fabrication studio in Providence. The work presented will include a preliminary website, located at work-shop.ws, and branding studies. The challenge is to represent a wide range of work and interests in digital design and fabrication, as well as commitment to community, discourse, and pedagogy. How will we communicate its position in the locality of Providence and the design community at large? How does it evolve over time with an organization in flux?
Work in Progress is a monthly presentation and critique of in-progress projects. The project may be personal or professional but must contribute to a dialogue about contemporary design practice. It's a chance to see new work, offer advice, hang out after the work day and potentially collaborate.
