Fri, Apr 7th, 2017 / 5:30–7:30PM

Join the authors, restaurant owners and book designer to celebrate and discuss their newly released book, Project 258: Making Dinner at Fish & Game. Part cookbook and part guidebook, the book is soulful, useful, funny, and utterly unique — a visually rich document of the ingredients, techniques, and collaborators at the heart of a well-respected Hudson Valley restaurant.

5:30–6:30pm Taste wine from Zev Rovine Selections with appetizers from Fish & Game and oysters from Matunuck
6:30–7pm Conversation about the book with the authors and book designer
7–7:30pm Signing and mingling with authors and guests

Project 258 is the result of writer-photographer Peter Barrett’s three years spent as artist-in-residence at Fish & Game, from the restaurant’s inception, documenting James Beard Award-winning chef Zak Pelaccio and his team’s processes and chasing their outstanding ingredients up the supply chain to their local sources. It digs deeper into what “farm to table” really means and, through its transparency, reinvigorates the overused term.

Designed by Sarah Rainwater Design, the casebound book is 348 pages, sized at 12 x 9 inches with 370 color photos, 27 illustrations and one map. It's worth a closer look. Limited copies on hand at the event for $45. The RISD Store will carry the book thereafter.
