Sarah grew up in the tiny state of Rhode Island in a house full of books with a hedge maze in the backyard. She studied Art History at New York University and Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts. After several years in New York designing for arts institutions including Mixed Greens Gallery and the Guggenheim Museum, working in the online marketing department at Hachette Book Group, and a brief stint at the international branding firm Mucca Design, Sarah set off for the wilds of Los Angeles. There, she basked in the sunshine and cursed the traffic while working as an Art Director at konnectDesign, a small award-winning firm in Santa Monica. Finally unable to resist the urge to shovel snow and eat tons of fried seafood, she moved back to her home state and founded her very own Providence studio in 2008 where she works with clients locally, across the country, and around the globe.
Sarah is also a contributing writer for Apartment Therapy where she shares her unique eye for design in New England and beyond. Her design work, photography, and writing have been recognized and awarded by many publications including Communication Arts, Graphis, Print, HOW, and have been published in several books.
